He oversees the critical aspects of our organisation, including financial stewardship, human resources, and program strategies and developments, to ensure that we operate with the utmost efficiency and effectiveness for those we exist to serve and support. David’s passion is for us to view each individual as being of unspeakable worth and journeying alongside them to see the transformation they desire become a reality.

    Operations Manager

    Fiona is the linchpin of our organisation, working tirelessly across all departments to ensure that our operations run seamlessly. She is the bridge between our charity and the community we serve. Fiona works diligently to streamline our processes, enhance productivity, and ensure that every resource is continuously developed and used effectively.

Her commitment to making every penny count is reflected in our ability to ensure our resources are used wisely to maximise our impact for local people facing crisis. Her strategic financial planning ensures that our charity remains resilient and prepared to meet the challenges ahead.

    Volunteer & Communications Coordinator

    Lindsay is the architect of our volunteer program. She is responsible for nurturing, training, and coordinating volunteers, ensuring that their contributions align with our mission and vision. Moreover, Lindsay manages our our social media presence, keeps our website engaging and plays a central role in powering our outreach efforts. ‎ ‎

    Crisis Drop-in Manager

    Tom is the warm and welcoming face hosting our Crisis Drop-in sessions, where care and compassion are at the heart and foundation for change. He oversees and coordinates our crisis sessions with a focus on providing a safe and inviting atmosphere and ensures that every person who walks through our doors feels respected, valued, and cared for.

    An integral part of our Crisis Drop-In Team, Richard supports our guests across a wide range of important topics such as employability, benefits and housing. His ongoing efforts allow us to foster sustainable life-change in our guests, empowering them out of their challenging circumstances.

    Community Nursing Manager

    Sue’s years of NHS expertise, empathy, and dedication are the cornerstones of our commitment to caring for our community. She shoulders the responsibility of orchestrating and improving our nursing project and all the healthcare services we offer at Vineyard Community & Richmond Foodbank.

    Breakfast Chef

    Paulina is the culinary artist behind the delicious hot breakfasts that nourish the hearts and bodies of those we serve coming in off the streets each morning. She understands that food is more than sustenance; it's a source of comfort and joy. Seeking and journeying towards life change with our guests requires the basics of some hot food, warmth, and the most basic human valuing of each person.

    Foodbank Manager

    Paul is the heart and soul behind the operations of Richmond Foodbank in partnership with Trussell Trust. He’s the friendly face that guests encounter when they come to our Foodbank Plus sessions seeking assistance. With his unwavering dedication and passion for serving the community, he plays a pivotal role in ensuring that no family or individual in Richmond need go hungry.

    Foodbank Logistics Coordinator

    Kevin is the maestro behind the Richmond Foodbank scenes, orchestrating the smooth flow of resources to those in need. His role is about more than logistics; it's about optimising our operations to ensure every individual we serve receives the vital assistance they require in their darkest and most difficult moments.

    With a fun and infectious passion for community building and service and a commitment to making a difference, Bob plays a crucial role in the logistics that keep our Richmond Foodbank operational. His expertise ensures that the food and essentials collected and distributed by our service reach their destinations promptly, allowing us to provide critical support to our community.

    Shop Manager

    Melinda is the mastermind behind our two charity shops in Richmond. Working between both locations, Melinda’s extensive background in pre-loved fashion has allowed us to lead the charge on sustainable shopping, all whilst giving back to those in need.

  • Hannah Ryland-brown

    Shop Assistant Manager

    Hannah plays a crucial role in the smooth operation of our two bustling charity shops, supporting our Shop Manager in everything from merchandising to customer service. She also spearheads our shop's social media presence, crafting engaging content to attract and inspire our community. Organized, creative, and passionate, Hannah is dedicated to making a positive impact through her work every day.

TRUSTEES

Bob Kimmerling BA Arch, Dip Arch RPI, RSA. Chairman

Bob was an architect before embarking on a business career. He entered charity work as director of the Stepping Stones Trust, supporting ex-offenders, followed by church ministry where he remains an elder of the Vineyard Life Church. Bob is a founding trustee of this charity and two other local charities, Richmond Street Pastors and Community Chaplains. He chairs Richmond’s Met. Police Independent Advisory Group and is a published author.

 Bob is retired, but having lived in Richmond since 1984 with his family, he enjoys extensive networks of friendship and support arising from 40 years of local business, charity and church work.

Dave Smith BA Hons, Physical Education. Vice Chairman

Dave is the current minister of The Vineyard Life Church and has been in the role since 2017. He trained as a Physical Education teacher and taught at a secondary school in West London for 10 years.

He has been involved with Vineyard Community as a trustee since 2018 and supports staff, volunteers and guests in a chaplaincy capacity. He is also the trustee with overall responsibility for ensuring our safeguarding policies and procedures are legal compliant and followed.

Peter Flower BA Hons, AKC. Company Secretary

Peter is a member of the Vineyard Life Church and together with Bob Kimmerling, is a founding Trustee of the charity. As Company Secretary he has specific responsibility for legal compliance and finance. He has a personal concern for the healing of brokenness in the lives of those whom the charity serves.

He has many years’ experience of trusteeship for a number of Christian charities, including the Stepping Stones Trust, Langley House Trust, and Embracing Age. Peter is a human resources professional with experience in the UK and overseas, both in the commercial and corporate world as well as in the not-for-profit sector; he has also carried out consultancy work with some well-known Christian charities.

He has served as a magistrate in Richmond and as a member of a DSS Appeals Tribunal.

Stephen Langridge MA, Oxon.

After completing studies in Oxford and Rome, Stephen was ordained for the Catholic priesthood. He has worked with Gypsies and Travellers in Italy and in the UK. He has extensive experience with young adults, and has served as governor for a number of schools. He currently looks after St Elizabeth’s parish next door to the Vineyard. 

 Stephen is an experienced Coach with a particular interest in change management working with individuals and teams to increase engagement and bring about effective change both at home and abroad. Stephen is passionate the role of churches and charities in transforming the lives of those in need. 

Lydia Palmer  BA Hons, PGCE.

Lydia was a primary school teacher for almost 20 years and served as a School Governor before becoming a full time mother. For many years, Lydia volunteered at the Vineyard Drop-in and supported guests by helping with their educational needs and assisting them in other ways. She has also supported and visited our guests in prison.

Part of her work in the charity has been to act as a moderator for those who have taken part in the AQA accreditation scheme run for guests. This scheme has provided them with vocational skills which has helped when applying for jobs and volunteering roles. Lydia was a member of Vineyard Life Church for 26 years before moving to Morden with her husband and two small children. She is now a member of Morden Baptist Church.

Sonica Mushi BA (Journalism); BA (Psychology), Diploma in Counselling Practice Level 4.

Qualified and licenced as a Psychotherapist by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, Sonica works with a number of our guests and has a special interest in the Richmond Women’s Hub.

She grew up in South Africa, where she gained her degrees in journalism and psychology. Sonica and her husband, together with their three children, are members of the Vineyard Life Church. She is a governor of a local primary school.
